Stereo Ferment, a dynamic Toronto-based artist-run label, radio show, event series, and DJ duo, is the creative collaboration of Cayden Mowbray (Oreku), and Brad Weber (Coy Haste).
Stereo Ferment explores the cultural intersections of folk driven disco, psych-funk, house and leftfield club sounds. Across twenty releases, both Coy Haste and Oreku have leveraged the Stereo Ferment platform to showcase their own music productions alongside releases from local and international artists alike.
Since its inception in June 2020, Stereo Ferment has rapidly secured a niche global recognition and support from esteemed radio hosts and DJs across renowned platforms such as BBC Radio, PBS 106.7, Worldwide FM, Netil Radio, Soho Radio, CIUT, and Kane FM.
As a DJ duo, Coy Haste & Oreku have cultivated a reputation for keeping dancefloors lively and vibrant through their genre-fluid DJ style and playful transitions.
Notably, Brad Weber is no stranger to the touring scene, serving as the longtime live drummer for Caribou. More recently, the duo has been sharing the unique sounds of Stereo Ferment through tours across parts of Australia, Colombia, Mexico and Canada. Between them, they have graced stages alongside international touring acts like Altin Gün, Chancha Via Circuito, Ghetto Kumbe, Dauwd, Dana Ruh, Eli Escobar, Habibi Funk, Moving Still, Systema Solar, and Aroop Roy further solidifying their place in the global music landscape.
