Stereo Ferment presents the latest instalment of their guest mix series “Cellar Sessions”, where DJ friends curate unique moods alongside classic SF vibes (psych-tropical; dub-boogie-disco, and afrocentric inspired grooves). The result is a bubbling fermentation of tasty tunes for curious ears.
Leslie Lello, born and raised in Bassano del Grappa, comes out of that roster of DJs and producers that is the Trash-Dance crew, one of the most famous and long-lived underground parties in Northern Italy. Leslie is competent on several fronts: Disco, Italo, Afrofunk, House, so it isn't rare to hear him skilfully steering during his sets, passing from a strictly 4 steps mood to a syncopated G-Funk track or an Afrobeat anthem with no hesitations. Leslie's releases are difficult to classify and break free from the usual clichés associated with monothematic producers. This characteristic allowed him to collaborate with a wider range of realities, such as Spa In Disco, Red Bull Music Studio in Cape Town, the London based The Disco Express and then Meanbucket, Stereo Ferment, Bad Panda, Doner Records and counting. In April 2022 he founded, together with his sparring partner Lamento, he founded the "Caldera Republic", a new much talked about party in their hometown area.
